Course Description:
Learn from the mistakes of others in this two hour class, which will teach agents about the importance of compliance by identifying common agent violations of the Insurance Code. This “lessons learned” approach includes analysis of examples and case studies as seen through disciplinary actions of the Department of Financial Services and the Florida Surplus Lines Service Office.

A 1973 graduate of Florida State University, Tom started his insurance career in 1976 as an all lines agent. He also served as a compliance officer for a large third party administrator. Before coming to work at FSLSO, Tom retired from the Florida Department of Insurance/Department of Financial Services as Assistant Director. He has served as an instructor at the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Market Conduct Education School and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Insurance Regulatory Examiners society.
